Aqua are back to make a splash
SCANDINAVIAN popsters AQUA are back - and with a brand new image to boot.
Nine years after their last hit, the quirky foursome - who have sold more than 33 million records worldwide - have reformed to release a Greatest Hits album.
But don’t let the conservative Victorian-style clobber in the promo shots fool you - the band’s new tunes are as infectiously catchy as ever before.
The LP features 16 old remastered tracks - including No. 1 Barbie Girl - and three new songs: My Mamma Said, Live Fast, Die Young and their first single in nine years, Back To The 80’s.
Click HERE to have an exclusive first listen to Back To The 80’s, out on September 21.
Be warned. You won’t be able to get it out of your head.
We are very happy that they are finally getting the attention they deserve! An article on The Sun and a forthcoming performance at G-A-Y… Great Britain is going to love them!

Lene and Soren
The Norwegian-Danish pop group Aqua ruled the world pop charts in the middle of the 90’s, and sold more than 31 million records.
Now the super group is back at full speed into the limelight with the single “Back to the 80s”, and will tour Scandinavia during the summer.
Vocalist and musician Lene Nystrøm (35) can, however, reveal that she actually was considering to give up as an artist, when the band decided to take a break in 2001, writes Dagbladet.
- It is clear there are days you are down and you don’t eat anymore. And you never know when a crash can come. she said to the newspaper.
Since the mega success of the 90’s Lene has grown to marry band colleague Søren Rasted and have two children Billy (3) and Indiana (4). But the popstar admits however that she could not have been a full time housewife.
- I’ve tried to join me as a housewife, but I know that I am not created to just do it. I must really like to be a career women, too, she says.
