The single for “Back to the 80’s” is still not available on the Italian iTunes store but with my own surprise I’ve found the international version of “Back to the 80’s” video!
If you want to buy it at the cost of 1,79€ just click here to enter in the right page of the iTunes store.
We still don’t know why the album and the singles where not released in Italy as it was one of the countries where the band was more famous! Finger crossed for the next album!!!
Aqua’s single “Back to the 80’s” entered at number 20 in this week French chart! This chart is based only on physical CD singles sold during the week.
It is a great result considering the lack of promotion the single had in the country! We hope that the single will keep on climbing the chart! Great job guys!
I just received my copy of Aqua single “Back to the 80’s” imported from France, the first country to get a physical release of the song.
The CD include the International Version of the song (the so called Arnie version) and two remixes.
The first remix “Pizza Club (D.J Tool’s) Remix 2009” has been mixed by René Dif and M. Parsberg, the second “Fugitive’s Retro Mastermix” by Kenny Hayes.
If you want a copy of the CD you can order it from Amazon at this link.
These are some pictures of the CD! Enjoy the pictures while you wait to have your copy!!

Aqua single “Back to the 80’s” is going to be released in France the 9th of November!
To promote the song Aqua recorded a couple of weeks ago a performance for French tv show “Les années bonheur”. This performance will be aired the 7th of November, two days before the official release of the single.
France will be the first country to have the single in CD format. You can already pre order it using Amazon.
Aqua continue their promotion of the Greatest Hits and single in the United Kingdom.
After the gig at G-A-Y Heaven Club in London they performed “Back to the 80’s” on GMTV. The performance is not live but it really worth to be watched!! Click here to see it on the original GMTV page or watch it down here on YouTube!
Friday evening Aqua held their first perfomance outside Scandinavia in 10 years! We still don’t have many info from the show, we just know that Lene and René performed on a giant Rubik’s cube and that the four Aqua played with the same band of the live concerts.
To see the concert pictures just click here to enter in The Dome official web site.
From videos we’ve seen on YouTube the crowd seemed to enjoy a lot Aqua performance and the whole arena where dancing and singing to their hits! Unfortunately the show seemed to be lypsinched.
The show will be broadcasted on RTL 2 the 5th September 2009 from 4pm.
We leave you with a couple of nice videos we have find on YouTube! Enjoy them
“Back to the 80’s”, the new Aqua single, had a little change in the lyrics for the international release.
After the death of Michael Jackson the band and Universal Music decided to change the part where René sings “…and Michael Jackson skin was black” with the less catchy “…and Arnie told us I’ll be back”.
The new sentence is a quotation from the Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1984 movie “The terminator”.
We think that the old version was better but we agree with the decision.
Also the videoclip has changed a bit, this is the new version:
